This is your opportunity to join one of the most recognisable names in international banking.

With a presence in over 60 countries, they are one of Europe’s biggest employers and have achieved “Top Employer Europe” certification. This means you’ll be joining a responsible, positive, and thriving business that puts well-being and personal development at the top of its agenda.

The key role of a Software Asset Manager is to enable and activate the CIO and IT Tribes in their Software Asset Management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Analyse the current license and service contracts and how you expect them to change to understand how they’re covered and identify the impacts.
  • Determine the classification of the different types of licenses, their characteristics, especially the contract scope, and their statuses throughout their life cycles.
  • Analyse how the provision of services, technology and contracts is organized to determine the technical and functional scope of license management.
  • Optimize the licenses allocated, both in terms of quantity and type, so that expenses are justified and aligned with actual needs (based on the identification of the misalignment in the “Manage” phase).
  • Prepare an inventory for allocating and delegating Entities to help them prepare the requested inventory statements and, if applicable, give them the keys to analyse the raw data of their inventory statement.
  • Consolidation of the inventory statement of active licenses.
  • Analyse the data reported in the inventory statements to determine the rights used by each Entity.
  • Compare the licenses already acquired and the needs based on uses and reconcile the two.
  • Identify license imperfections and manage any deviations (correct license allocations or decommission).
  • Control the accuracy of the inventory statements of active licenses by sampling and comparing it with the Entity’s history of purchase commitments, allocations and inventory data, and by auditing their inventory process.
  • Conduct an internal audit on the scope of software products, with or without restrictions on the geographic scope.
  • Prepare and distribute a report on software compliance.
  • Communicate on SAM initiatives within the Group, and share best practices, identify areas of improvement, and so on.
  • To define mitigating action plans in case of contractual non-compliance or control outcomes that shall be executed by stakeholders.

Required experience:

  • Knowledge of the banking world in general.
  • Experience in the specific context of the project (IT, commercial, legal, …, or a mix of these).
  • Knowledge of the specific functional context of the project (domain knowledge).
  • Experience in project management methods, processes and tools – knowledge of the standards in use in the enterprise.
