Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to structuring data exchange within the organisation.
- Collect metadata needs from a diverse range of stakeholders including business units, IT architects, and data engineers.
- Establish a mechanism to version centralised EDM guidelines.
- Assist the EDM squad in defining roadmaps and projects to advance EDM practices.
- Guide stakeholders to ensure their contributions align with centralised guidelines and support the monitoring of EDM quality and progress.
- Fit the overall EDM practice within a broader data governance context, including glossaries, dictionaries, and lineage.
- Advocate for data modelling and governance culture across the organisation.
- Analyse and define gaps between internal data model standards and industry standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in English and either Dutch or French.
- Proficient in data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical models) using languages such as UML and ERD.
- Solid understanding of SAP Power Designer or similar data modelling tools.
- Knowledge of data governance aspects including metadata management, data quality, data lineage, GDPR, and data dictionaries.
- Ability to train personnel and develop modelling guidelines.
- Experience with Data Products and Data Mesh.
- Background in the banking industry.
- Familiarity with API and Kafka design. (Preferred).
- Knowledge of Data Architecture and software development and database design.
- Proactive, self-organised, and a quick self-starter.
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics for broader understanding.
