As an international recruitment business with a long history of successfully partnering with SMEs and multinational organisations, Church International Ltd was engaged by Direct Line Group, one of the UK’s most respected insurance organisations, to facilitate the recruitment of several key hires. Following the acquisition of two highly reputable insurance companies, Direct Line Group needed to expand their headcount to integrate these new operations into their existing infrastructure. This high-profile project began with the critical task of appointing a senior leader to spearhead the integration. Our Managing Director, Brian Fitzgerald, an expert with over 20 years of experience, successfully headhunted and secured a Global Head of Infrastructure. Brian leveraged the extensive network of contacts that he and Church International Ltd have built over 40 years of recruiting IT specialists to make this pivotal appointment.
Once the Global Head of Infrastructure was in place, Brian worked closely with this new hire to map out the next phase of the project, agreeing on requirements and setting clear parameters. With a deep understanding of our client’s objectives, they focused on identifying and recruiting senior leaders to head the key teams required for the integration. A comprehensive talent-mapping exercise was conducted to find the most suitably experienced individuals whose skills and ambitions aligned with Direct Line Group’s needs. This meticulous approach led to the successful appointments of Heads of Architecture, Operations, Support, Design & Implementation for each respective team. With these leadership positions filled, the next step was to build bespoke teams under each new leader. Brian collaborated closely with these department heads to scope out their specific requirements, tailoring recruitment strategies to meet their needs. This effort resulted in the successful hiring of 6 security specialists, 2 third-party operations personnel, 9 support specialists, 15 individuals for the Infrastructure & Engineering team, and 9 for IT Operations. Church International Ltd has a proven track record of delivering complex and bespoke recruitment solutions for high-profile clients across various sectors. With each project, our capabilities grow, supported by our continually expanding network. We engage with our clients as partners, listening and adapting our approach to meet their needs. We deliver solutions that work, building trusted partnerships and becoming an integral extension of their business.
