Welcome to Church International Limited (“CIL”), 

CIL is acting as an Employment Business when arranging contract assignments and an Employment Agency when arranging permanent appointments on behalf of its candidates, as defined in the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses 2003 (the “Conduct Regulations”). 

CIL is in the business of providing work-finding services for candidates and independent specialists and, where a role or assignment is found, providing arrangements for you to provide services to our clients through contract assignment or by permanent appointment with our clients. 

You are seeking IT opportunities or similar.  For contract assignments, CIL shall seek work for you with appropriate market rate pay and conditions, but the pay will be at least the National Minimum Wage from time to time in force. 

Regulation 13A of the Conduct Regulations includes the requirement to provide a Key Information Document (“KID”) for agency workers. 

KIDs are intended to improve the transparency of information to you, particularly around pay, and demonstrate the types of deductions made and their methods of calculation. 

All our KIDs include a representative example statement to demonstrate how the listed deductions will be made to a rate of pay corresponding to all payment methods that are available through us.  These figures are just an estimate and do not reflect the specific rate of pay that will be received by you; they do however demonstrate a realistic reflection of how deductions will be made.

Personal Services Company (Ltd)  

If we engage you via your Personal Services Company (“PSC”), the situation is then regulated by IR35 rules. You might not be able to operate outside IR35 via your PSC for outside IR35 assignments in the Public or Private Sector.  Your CIL consultant will provide you with the relevant details.

We are unable to support payroll for Contractors working through their PSC inside IR35, we do have solutions in place via Preferred Suppliers which will allow you to keep your limited company operating whilst using umbrella service for “inside” IR35 roles which we will be happy to discuss. 

Umbrella Companies 

A calculation using the method detailed in the following documents will apply to you if you provide services through an Umbrella Company.  This is a generic example, and each Umbrella Company will have its own set of charges which may differ from the Umbrella Margin detailed.

We operate a PSL of approved Umbrella Companies.  Each umbrella company has its own example documents.  These ‘preferred suppliers’ have been vetted by us and are assessed as having robust processes and procedures.  If you require more information, please contact the Umbrella Companies directly.  You will be provided with an individual tailored KID document upon offer, prior to signing contract terms.  In the meantime, you may find the following Umbrella Calculator useful.

Church International – Umbrella Company PSL   

At our absolute discretion, we may agree to engage with an umbrella company of your choice.  If you prefer to use an umbrella company that has not been approved by CIL, please inform your consultant.  Before an assignment can start the company will be required to undergo CIL’s compliance checks and to hold FCSA Accreditation.
