Our client, a well-known bank, requires a DevOps Engineer to join their Infrastructure Engineering team. You will contribute to the team’s maturing responsibilities for the development and management of ‘infrastructure-as-code ’-focused automation services, concentrating on the use of agile tools such as Terraform, Packer, Powershell and Azure DevOps.

This is an opportunity to work with a small team of highly skilled infrastructure engineering and automation specialists, bringing the benefit of your infrastructure operations knowledge and using your engineering/automation experience to help design, implement and support modern IT services.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Defining automation standards, tooling and processes that will help continue the drive for the adoption of an ‘automation-first’ approach
  • Working alongside software development and testing teams to provide infrastructure automation development and support services
  • Optimise, monitor, maintain and improve all infrastructure automation services, delivering efficient, reliable and secure services that follow industry best practice.
  • Contribute to the delivery of business projects involving new or updated infrastructure automation services, including working with both on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Skills:

  • Exposure to/hands-on experience of the following technologies is preferable but not essential (being a quick learner is essential)
  • Scripting (PowerShell)
  • Configuration management (DSC/Ansible)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Packer)
  • CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Source Control (Git)
  • Public Cloud (Azure)
